I did pretty decent in my engineering classes, I think I would have gotten As in my classes except for microcontrollers, which would be a solid BC because I'd have some pretentious view that we were using the wrong microcontroller.
  • A Stranger asked:

    • Shane replied:
Not really during under grad, or even grad school. I suppose I've always had an interest in video production and web design that I pursued. But after school I feel like my interests expanded further.

I liked teaching, and need a PhD to teach at a university level.
  • A Stranger asked:
Two loaded questions here. Do you return the cart back to the cart corral after shopping? Also, in a hypothetical scenario that involves you going to Ikea, what do you purchase? You can only get one item, foods excluded as meatballs are too obvious and its assumed you purchase some (not counted as your one item). Failing to purchase meatballs at Ikea runs a heavy risk of breaking the time continuum and more importantly upsetting some Swedish people.
    • Shane replied:
I always optimize my parking to be next to a corral, and even then I put my cart back. I've never been to an IKEA believe it or not.

    • Shane replied:
Well. It really depends if it's late 1800s or early 1800s. If it's late 1800s, my ability to get / make relays would increase substantially. But either way I'd go with a relay-relay logic computer. If I had to pick someone to help out with it, I'd probably pick Alan Turing.
  • A Stranger asked:
Hello professor, I apologize for being so direct, but are you taking Ph.D. grad assistants for Fall 2024?
